Mental Health Matters:

A Refugee and Migrant Health Conference

May 21st, 2022

REP is thrilled to report that our Mental Health Matters: A Refugee and Migrant Health Conference was a success! Attendees listened to presentations and panels from our brilliant speakers and participated in mindfulness activities for self-care. Big thanks to all of our speakers and their organizations, to our attendees (who sat through a long day!), and especially to Amarjit Dass, from Moonlight Hubb Consulting, who developed the conference alongside us. Check out some pictures below!

Partnering therapists with refugees seeking trauma support

An idea we have

Our Mental Health Resource Program hopes to offer therapeutic services to refugees of all ages. Our program will work collaboratively with student therapists to ensure free services for refugees, while allowing the therapists to fulfill their hour requirements, making a positive impact in both lives.

Refugees are about 10 times more likely than the age-matched general population to have post-traumatic stress disorder.
